"D2 Place Weekend Markets" is a creative local market at D2 Place which advocates local culture and encourages

youngsters to develop creative Industries.It provides a platform for the local teenagers to sell their products, also

demonstrate their ideas and creativity to the visitors.The teenagers only need to pay the low fee to rent a booth.

The opening hour of the weekend market is 1pm to 9pm.There are different themes of the market every week.

One of the selling point of market is many booths are owned by online (Instagram, Facebook) shop owners.In D2 market, it combines the online business and the reality business.

Actual goods are displayed to customers. The booth owners could introduce the features and interact with the customers so as to encourage new blood to enter creative industry.

Most of the products are designed by the booth owners.The originality and innovated idea are based on the personal

experience and aims of the designer.New elements are being put in each weekend market as to attract people attention.

The theme of the weekend market was “ MM5-Zombie Paradise” on 30/10-01/11 at 1pm to 9pm. In term of the interior design, there were blood-stained fingerprints on the window, a chain of blade with blood fall on the wall and staff would dress up as zombies walking around the market to scare people. Vintage style is adopted as portraits were printed and sticked on the wall.

Fashion related to the Korean style clothes,handmade artificial leather goods,paper-made accessories with waterproof function. Exotic products could be found like Indian feature such as the indian tattoo Henna, dream-catching net which Indian use to make a wish.

For the food aspect,visitors could also purchase a lot of snacks such as the handmade cookie,bread.Also, some unique flavoring agents which people would alway use on the process of cooking food are also available in the market.

There is also a venue for the youngsters to perform such as singing, playing in band. For example, a team of live band, songwriter Edwin Ho, Instagram singer Hong Jim Kiu and Danny were invited to sing a series of Cantonese pop music for three hours in order to entertain the visitors.
