Dr. Puneet Swaroop Saxena (born on 17 November) is a Techno-Manager. Puneet grew up in the Doon-Valley Viz.Dehradoon city, Uttarakhand one of India's most beautiful hilly provinces, known for its good schooling & abode for premier Government Officials (Retd.). He did his schooling from the renowned St. Joseph's Academy, Dehradoon.

Later he was selected in the Campus placement while doing his B.Tech (Electronics & Communications Engineering) from Kurukshetra University, in the Indian Army through the SSB & MSB conducted at Bhopal; under the University Entry Scheme (UES-11) for the Pre-Commission training for the post of Captain in the 'Signal Corps' and hence joined Kohima Coy, Carriappa Battalion, Indian Military Academy (IMA), in Dehradoon (Uttrakhand, India) in the year 2002 but later left IMA on July 19, 2002 for pursuing MBA. Puneet was awarded Gold-medalist for his MBA (Finance & Marketing) from the CCS University, Meerut (Campus) [Formerly Meerut University] in the year 2004. Later, in 2008 he was awarded PhD (Finance) from CCSU, Meerut in the year 2008. Dr. Puneet is also a DEM(SE) from NIEM, Chennai.

He worked as Faculty in FET & FMS at the Mody Institute of Technology & Science (MITS) Deemed University, Lakshmangarh in Sikar District of Rajasthan from 2004 to 2005. Later he moved to a Subsidiary of Bank of Baroda (TNBL) as Information-Technology(IT)-Officer in Regional Office at New-Delhi during 2005 to 2007. Dr. Puneet was selected in Wipro, Air-India Charters limited and then as Deputy General Manager (Information -Security) at SBI, Indore but left all these opportunities to finally join ISRO at Ahmedabad in 2007. Later in the year 2012 he took transfer to Indian Institute of Remote Sensing [IIRS], which is a unit of ISRO for Capacity building and training activities. Currently Dr Puneet is a Senior Scientist/ Engineer in PPEG and Dy Head BPMD/ PPEG in IIRS/ ISRO.

His Wife, Dr. Pooja Swaroop Saxena is Associate Professor at LJIET, Ahmedabad. His Father is Senior Professor in Commerce Department of DAV(PG) College, Dehradoon & Mother is the Principal (selected through UP-Higher Education Services, Allahabad) of JKP(PG) Government College at Muzzaffarnagar. He has only one sister who is Senior Scientist/ Engineer at IIRS, (ISRO) Dehradoon and brother-in-law, Mr. Yogesh Kr. Saxena who is Scientist at IRDE (DRDO), Dehradoon.
