Louise Verneuil (born Pauline Benattar; 14 December 1988) is a French singer-songwriter. She was educated at Lycée du Mont Saint-Jean (1998-2002).

In the Red era, Swift's dating life became the subject of intense media scrutiny. The New York Times asserted that Swift's "dating history has begun to stir what feels like the beginning of a backlash" and questioned whether Swift was in the midst of a "quarter-life crisis".^[1] Many high-profile figures criticized Swift's love life. Miley Cyrus offered public support to an internet meme which questioned whether Swift should be called "sweet, elegant and inspirational", claiming she had been "with more than thirteen guys in the past three years".^[2] Chelsea Handler mocked her "embarrassing" demeanor: "I mean, she has just dated so many men".^[3] Michael J. Fox criticized the singer's confessional writing style: "What a way to build a career!"^[4] Joan Rivers joked about the infrequency with which "Taylor Swift's knees" were together.^[5] Tina Fey advised Swift to take a break from dating: "She needs some 'me time' to learn about herself".^[6] The Daily Mail speculated that Swift had purchased properties in four different cities in order to be close to ex-boyfriends.^[7] Other public figures have come to Swift's defense. Kathleen Hanna remarked: "People say she’s dating all these guys. Well, yeah, she’s a young person and is dating all these people ’cause that’s what you do when you’re young. John Mayer can fuck 84 people in one day and nobody calls him a slut. I think that’s the subtext of some of the things she’s said recently."^[8] Her friend Ed Sheeran commented: "‘I don’t like when people take shots at her ... She’s so successful, and she’s so nice and sweet to everyone that she meets. There is nothing bad to say but she was being pictured with a lot of dudes."^[9] Tim McGraw defended Swift: "She's young and beautiful and she's loaded. She can do whatever she wants ... I was young when I started, but not nearly as young as her. It's gotta be tough."^[10] Stephen Stills has defended Swift's confessional writing style: “How many times do people want to make fun of [her] for writing a song about getting dumped? I’m sorry, that’s what you do as a songwriter ... Wear your heart on your sleeve, then just write about it. Fuck ‘em. If I was young, I would be one of Taylor Swift’s conquests because I would stalk her.”^[11][12][13]
