Pony is a doctoral student in French literature. Pony thinks that academics shouldn't complain about Wikipedia unless they work to make it better. Pony loves Wikipedia, has benefited from it, and thinks knowledge, being always already political, should also be always already free.

Pony habite entre Paris et New York (une mode de vie qui a l'air très classe, mais qui en réalité le fait un peu chier), est dixneuvièmiste et se spécialise en l'oeuvre de Zola. Pony enseigne les langues et la littérature depuis 8 ans environ. Il court, mais pas trop, et surtout après le bus le matin. Il s'engage beaucoup dans le développement pédagogique et voilà pourquoi il est là.

I am a native speaker of English, have near-native fluency in French, and some proficiency in Italian and German (which I refuse to inflict on wikipedia). I contribute articles in French and English.
