Why my username ? A long time ago I came across the Bodes Equation (Now Titius-Bode Equation) which described a simple mathematical formula which described the distances from the Sun for Planets as you progressed outward. This equation became defunct around 1800 because of Ceres and Neptune. When I saw the equation I noticed that the formula transitioned from an x^2 increase to an increase based on 2x. I have worked on and off on this equation for years. When the "Planetary Definition" debates came around I became very active and tried to influence the decision in every way I could. I agreed with the results at the time. Still, the periodicity that has been established by nature is not recognised. Subsequently, my username.
