Patrick Murray (born April 12, 1999, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana) is a collegiate American track and field athlete. He finished 2nd place on his team and 15th overall to win 2014 Class C NYSPHSAA Cross Country Championships and 7th overall at the 2016 NYSPHSAA Cross Country Championships, but his team moved back up to Class B. On May 14th 2016, Patrick Murray broke the world record in both the 800 meter run and 1600 meter run with times of 1:38.34 and 3:41.93 respectively. On June 25th, 2017 Murray graduated from East Aurora High School (a blue ribbon high school). He committed to run division 3 for SUNY Geneseo instead of going pro.
