Pankaj Joshi, born in Shillong, Megalaya, India on May 1, 1970 to late Paras Joshi and Nirmala Joshi. He has two sisters, Preeti Joshi (DOB April 30, 1973) and Poonam Kharel (DOB July 16, 1974). Married to Sangita Joshi (maiden name Upreti) with two daughters Mallika Joshi (DOB May 13, 2001) and Tanishka Joshi (DOB September 21, 2005).

He is the Senior Manager at Salt Trading Corporation Limited (www.stcnepal.com), Nepal and heads the Business Department. His studied in St Peter's School Shillong, till class 10, Don Bosco School, New Delhi class 11 & 12. However he did not graduate his high school from Don Bosco, but from Shillong college, Shillong as well as his Bachelors of Commerce. He did his MBA Finance from White House International College, Kathmandu, Nepal and another MBA from Souther polytechnic State University, Marietta, Georgia, USA.
