ONYEABOR SAMSON HENSHAW’S PROFILE ONYEABOR SAMSON HENSHAW is a Geoscientist and HSE specialist with deep-rooted knowledge and experience in Integrated Safety Management systems (ISM) and general safety training as applied to the Upstream, Downstream, Construction and Marine sectors respectively. He is a self-motivated, dedicated, creative and versatile person with good understanding and working knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, BS (OHSAS 18001), NFPA and IS0 (9001 and 14001) standards and applications. With a bachelor degree in a physical/environmental science discipline (Geology), he is currently the HSE Coordinator of Safety Consultants and Solutions Provider ltd where he had conducted/facilitated various HSE training and provided turnkey safety solutions to the company’s clients in all economic sectors in the area of environmental safety, occupational health and safety, technical safety and fire safety system engineering. Before this, he had worked for different reputable companies which include: Chevron Nigeria Plc, Ministry of Works and Transport, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc and Deejones Petroleum and Gas, occupying various challenging HSE positions. He’s currently into his Master degree program in occupational health and safety at the University of Salford, uK distant learning with previous professional certifications from NEBOSH Uk, Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH UK), Project Management Institute(PMI), Nigerian Institute of Safety Professionals(NISP) and other numerous safety/management professional bodies in Nigeria. He is also a member of various relevant professional Organizations both at home and abroad which include CIEH UK, IOSH, SPE, SEG, NAPE/AAPG, NMGS, ISP, etc and had led in various capacities. With much interest in environmental safety and petroleum, he had facilitated and delivered technical papers at various seminars, conferences and inaugural lectures. Some publications to his credits include: Effective HSE Management systems in Marine Services, Environmental Safety Management in oil and gas explorations and productions, Hydrocarbon potentials and Lithofacies characteristics of the Anambra Basin, etc.
