The Ottawa Junior Jazz Band (OJJB) is an 19 piece big band consisting performers between the ages of 13-16 from the Ottawa region. It was formed in 2001 by Mandar Gumaste, the director. The Ottawa Junior Jazz band has competed at Capital Region Music Festival for the past eight years and has always been awarded the Gold standard. They competed at Nationals in 2006 and 2009 and earned a gold standed there as well.

Entry into the band is based on auditions which take place in June.
