David Fernandez was born in Venezuela and moved to Toronto in 2004. He is a master student in the Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto, specializing in Library Science, Book History and Print Culture. He received a BA in Latin American Studies and Literature from the University of Toronto. He is the winner of the 2010 Hoeniger Book Collection Prize and the 2008 Latin American Studies Undergraduate Research Award. He is interested in contemporary literature and book culture of Latin America. He is a member of the Canadian Bookbinders and Artists Guild.
