Active Wikipedian from December 2005 to December 2015. Based in New York, with main focus on cultural studies and generally weird stuff. Changed nickname to Not Sure in February 2013. Always willing to engage in friendly and interesting discussions; nonetheless, I'm still trying to assess whether the ideal of Wikipedia is a worthwhile project.

Retired user names: As Dr-Mabuse, I used to contribute to the German wikipedia and you would have occasionally found me in the Dutch version as well.

Last entries as registered Wikipedian in early 2009 and as various IP addresses until mid-2010. Due to the lack of imagination of the Wikipedia community about the creative potential and the promises of what this new collaboration could entail I have ended my participation in this project. There has been too much focus on what Wikipedia is not and not enough on what it might become, so I regret to note that the free encyclopedia in its Wikipedia version is history for me now.

EDIT: I may want to ease up on the dogmatism a bit. Willing to give this work-in-progress project another try. After all, as the poet said, "vor uns liegen die Mühen der Ebenen." (2010)
