[1]History of Pearland Junior High West.

Founded in 1912, the school was built originally as Pearland High School but later became Junior High West. The school was built for six thousand dollars. The school features its main colors as Maroon and Black.

[2]Sports

Pearland Junior High West features sports such as Football, Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball, Track and field, Cross Country, and Basketball. The Football, Track, Cross country, and Soccer team share the stadium known as Presner stadium while Volleyball and Basketball share the court in the gym. The Tennis team plays in courts near the stadium.

[3]Clubs and other activities.

Pearland Junior High West features clubs such as City (Christians in the youth,) Chess club, student council, quiz bowl, Tmsca (Texas math and science teachers,) Robotics, Destination Imagination, Tabletop game club, The national junior high society, West ambassadors, C.I.S (Communities in schools,) and the spelling bee club. Each club has a sponsor (A teacher who helps out with the club.) They also have classes such as band, art, Spanish, Tech, and College and Career exploration. The school also features classes for disabled students.
