In the style of Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge#Deluxe edition reissue. Anything outside of the "10th anniversary reissue" is only to prevent the sources from breakingeissue" is just to prevent citations from breaking. Worth noting stuff like the track listing of Living with Ghosts is already on the main Black Parade page.
10th anniversary reisssue
On July 2016, My Chemical Romance announced a tenth anniversary reissue of The Black Parade, released on October 23, 2016.[1] In addition to the original album, the reissue was bundled with a second disc titled Living with Ghosts, containing eleven previously unreleased demos from the record's recording sessions. Among these demos are unfinished versions of "Disenchanted", "House of Wolves" (which has two demos), "Kill All Your Friends", "Mama", "My Way Home Is Through You", and "Welcome to the Black Parade"; the last one's demo is referred to as "The Five of Us Are Dying". It also includes "All the Angels", "Emily", "Not That Kind Of Girl", and "Party at the End of the World", tracks that were scrapped from the final record entirely.[2]The announcement initially resulted in fan speculation that My Chemical Romance was planning to reunite, which the band denied at the time.[1] It charted at number 3 on the Rock & Metal Albums chart and at number 11 on the regular Albums Chart in the United Kingdom,[3][4] and at number 15 on the Australian Albums chart.[5]
Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic believed that reissuing The Black Parade with demos provided great insight into the production and writing process of My Chemical Romance's work, letting listeners experience how the band developed The Black Parade. He compared the relationship between the two discs as demonstrating My Chemical Romance at their polished best, while Living with Ghosts "reveals them as an exposed nerve".[6] Discussing the differences between the tracks the two discs, Cassie Whitt and Jason Pettigrew of Alternative Press said that playing "spot the difference" between finished and unfinished versions was a "truly enlightening treasure hunt". They further highlighted the song "Emily", believing it to be My Chemical Romance's "darkest song" and one that provided the most insight behind the development of The Black Parade's narrative.[7] Gav Lloyd of Rock Sound echoed similar thoughts, stating that it provided "fascinating insight into the makings of such a landmark album", and described it as essential listening for My Chemical Romance fans.[8]
