Bengali culture is very rich in all respect. The Bangla language is the sixth largest being spoken in the world in terms of population. There are 36 alphabets in Bangla language. Therefore, people speak bangla are more flexible in pronouncing other languages and they can learn very quickly. Bengali song is one of the best components of bangla culture. Early fifty to mid 70’s is called golden era of bangla music. Singers like Hemanta, Shaymol, Lata, Manobendra, Manna Dey, Feroza Begum, Abdul Jabbar, Mahmudunnabi, Kalim Sharafi, Abdul Ahad, Sanjida Khatun contributed a lot to bring bangla songs upto its present stage. Rabindra Sangeet is the best segment of bangla songs. In Bangladesh tagore’s song is sung by the singer with respect. Mita Huq, Sadi Mohammad, Rezwana Chowdhury Bonna, Papia Sarwar,Salma Akhbar, Sajed Akhbar, Sirajus Salekin, Shahjahan Kamal, Chanchal Khan, Madadev Shaha, Bulbul Islam are notable in following the notations set by Biswabharoti.
