SlicketTicket
SlicketTicket LLC is a start-up based in Boca Raton, FL that considers itself a "stock market for event tickets." SlicketTicket is a service which acts like an online market for buyers and sellers of tickets for sports, concerts, theater and other live entertainment events. The system is based completely on supply and demand and is completely transparent. All users are able to see buyers with the price they are willing to pay for a ticket and all sellers and the price they are willing to accept for a ticket.
SlicketTicket LLC was founded in April 2010 creating a fair-market-based method for the buying and selling of event tickets. The idea was born when the founder, Jeffrey Gray, was unable to determine the fair value of a ticket along with the inability to negotiate a fair price for a ticket coupled with steep fees from Stubhub[1]. SlicketTicket has recently fared extremely well, after it won the 2010 Florida Atlantic University Business Plan Competition, it launched in the fall of 2010.
