mulakong was formed by robe g (drums), dermott mcquillan (guitar) and marti snape (bass and keyboards) in alozaina, malaga, spain in 2006 .. from some very improvised recordings they developed further to complete the cd "la venganza de eusebio" (2008) ... during these recordings and mixing sessions they played a few small gigs, experimenting with a live sound and a semblance of improvisation.

a mixed media experience is found at gigs .. from playful psychedelic twists of sound to the fusing of images, colours and projections .. loops, samples, changing, engulfing and surrounding growing and collapsing while vocals take a wordsmiths journey through delays and backgrounds.. ..

they are best described as unexpected. meanderings of tracks, improvised playing, twisting psychedically through hours, no respite, no break, a continuum of sound, words .. encompassing many styles from concreto to drum n bass, to techno undercurrents back to psychedelica ...

mulakongs earliest recording was the self-released "la llamada" EP, printed and replicated at home and sold at some of their first shows.

in july 2008 the lineup changed for live performances .. they were joined by edgar weltens (keyboards and percussion) and mike van stekelenburg on bass .. now a spacier intensity with keyboards flowing outwards ..

they are currently recording their second, as yet untitled cd, to be released in 2009.
