My name is Danilo Mendonça, I was born in Botucatu and live in Campinas. I graduated in history from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) in 2024. I am currently studying for a master's degree, also at Unicamp, but now in Literary Theory and Criticism, where I study the circulation of books and the formation of intellectual networks.
I started editing the Portuguese Wikipedia in 2019, the same year I entered college. On the Portuguese Wikipedia, I have created over 600 articles. Recently, I started dedicating myself to the English Wikipedia. I am also active on other Wiki projects, such as Wikiquote, Wikidata, and Commons.
I am a São Paulo soccer fan, I really like Bossa Nova and Classic Rock, especially the Rolling Stones, I love libraries, coffee, journals, friends and beer. I work editing educational materials in the field of history and geography. I have worked with materials for children and teenagers.
I receive a small stipend from the Open Knowledge Association (OKA) to support my work on Wikipedia. However, the contributions I make are my own.
I am very keen to continue working on Wiki projects. If you need to talk to me, I am always available and open to suggestions and improvements to my edits and to the Wiki ecosystem as a whole.
OKA is a non-profit organization that seeks to improve the coverage of content from non-anglophone countries, which is typically underrepresented in Wikipedia. More information about OKA can be found here.
