About

  • I am Lebanese, and am originally Catholic, but I converted to Islam three years ago. I have a good base of knowledge of the various sects and faiths in Lebanon. I'm a citizen of Lebanon from the town of Baalbek, Bekaa Valley.
  • I am a very political person yet unaffiliated to any major or minor Lebanese party, though on occasion I find myself supporting a specific policy of one party or another.
  • I am a student and somewhat an expert on M iddle Eastern History, specifically the 20th and 21st centuries, and I am a good source on Lebanese history if needed.
  • While I support the recognition of Genocides committed, I feel that more interest needs to be placed on modern atrocities than finagle over crimes that happened decades ago. In issues like Israel, Sudan, Mexico, Tibet/Xianjing I feel more attention must be paid to by the international community.
  • I support the peace process in the Middle East, but I'm very cynical as to whether the Israelis will ever stop their games and actually sit down and sign an honest agreement. Until the day that happens, I demand the return of the Shebaa Farms to Lebanon as my personal home-grown irredentism and expansionism. :D
