Mistir Poeftes© is a character created by Shaun Liddle, shaun's site, from South Africa. He is a fine-art graduate student that finished his three-year course at the art school "Andrew Owen School of Art" in Somerset West.art school's site He now does web-design for the company Pinkdigit? pink digit's site he started along with Jorge and his youngest brother, Quinton. quinton's site In his spare time Shaun does design, art, music, animation and occasionaly whistles...

The name "mistir-poeftes" started when Shaun was still studying at school. It originated from the word "poeftes" which he used to express "inner turmoil" and it was a substitute for swearing. It worked. A bit. Sometimes.

It was only in 2004, when Shaun started his studies as a fine artist, that the name stuck. Shaun had many friends and was a very happy person all the time. The growth and inspiration for Mr. Poeftes© in the art-school was because of an elite few. Here they follow:

Stephen: He was Shaun's co-pilot in the chaos that reigned in the art school. Together they could conquer the world and they did. (But they were nice enough to give it back..thank you Stephen and Shaun!) Stephen's influence and sense of humor probably played the biggest roll in bringing the character "Mr. Poeftes©" to life. Stephen is a brilliant graphic designer and musician. His work can be seen on Deviant Art. link

Shaun started using Mr. Poeftes© as his alter-ego. Slowly but surely, Shaun was becoming Mr. Poeftes©. He posed as Mr. Poeftes© when he did his orals and presentations. This all added fuel to the fire and so, soon Mr. Poeftes© was a living being. And he created a website to prove this. link
