Rizwan Ali Umrani can be called a translator who depicts truth, his feelings, his environment with what be calls a new technique in pastel application.

Mr. Umrani grinds the pastel and mixed it with oil to give his paintings a fine glossy and vibrant touch. Instead of using brush he gives form to the pastel power by his palette and draws very fine and impressive figures. 
    The artist from Sindh, who has had no formal education in art, says that his mother was the main source of inspirations. ‘After her death I decided that I would do something to elevate the name of mother. Quest and Desire to propagate truth, he says was another force that makes the way for creation.

Truth is his mission and he is seems to be obsessed with the concept of propagating it. He has also formed and art gallery for artists where they can exhibit there work. Mr. Umrani says that he paints to express his feelings and my paintings could be interpreted according to the mood of the individual and perception of the viewer. Mr. Umrani who has been painting for the last 33 years, he has approximately created more then 5000 paintings in various sizes and mediums. He gives so much importance to social problems,behavior, political injustice and the real feelings of people by the stokes of his brush and the voice of colors.
