Hudya Group

Hudya is a digital platform that simplifies the purchase of traditional consumer services such as electricity, telecom, Banking and Alarm/Smart Home services. With its headquarters in Norway, Hudya has 10 subsidiaries in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.[1]Hudya’s first product, Hudya Power was launched in Norway in March 2017.[2]

History

Hudya was established in 2016 by three entrepreneurs namely, Børge Leknes, Morten Kvam and Pål Lauvrak. In June 2017, in an equity investment round, Hudya raised NOK 14 million. The fund was raised from various local private investors, including Adolfsen Group. Apart from this, Hudya has received NOK 3 million from Norwegian Research Council.[1][2]

Business Model and Services

According to the CEO Børge Leknes, Hudya’s goal is to provide customers with different low-engagement services all available on the same technical platform, and making it easy to keep track of various service agreements for its customers.[3][4]

Hudya claims that their basic strategy is the transparent pricing, which involves no hidden prices[5], binding periods, and unclear conditions.[6] Hudya allows the customers to develop and improvise the service, through the process, “co-creation”.[7][4]

Net worth

As of July 2017, the net worth of Hudya is NOK 140 million after 10 months of its establishment.[2]
