Nascimento Football Club was formed in the spring 1992 by two ex-middlesex university students and group of like-minded friends.
In their first full year together, the team managed to finish second in the Wimbeldon & District Football League Division One 1992/93 season. The team also managed to reach the Wimbledon Trophy Final in the same season 1992/93. Although losing the final 3-2 to Putney Celtic Football Club in extra time to finish runner-up.
Nascimento Football Club was promoted to Wimbledon & District Football league Premier Division and hope to continue the initial success of the club.
The name of football team was inspired and chosen in honour of the great Pele his real name Edson Arantes Do Nascimento hoping to follow his spirit and love of the game, if not quite managing to maintain the same high levels of technique and execution.
Nascimento Football Club has strong squad in all areas, which managed to see a first successful season with the following players
Brian Stewart - Goalkeeper although it was his first season in goal, Brian established himself as one of the most important members of the squad. Nascimento Football in its first season conceded less goals than any other keeper in Division One.
