Milind Ranade (Born 1960, Jalgaon,Maharashtra,India) is an associate professor for Marathi and Hindi languages at the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University in Philadelphia,USA. He immigrated to US in 2001 and has become a US citizen since. Milind is a Graduate in Zoology with a post graduate degree in Cinematography and Film making from the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Pune. Milind has been working as a cartoonist for last 38 years. Milind was a staff cartoonist for the Daily Sakal of Pune from 1980 until 1985. He worked as a first Cameraman for Zee TV when it began in 1993. Farming, sustainable rural development, astronomy,animation, terrace and kitchen gardening, native/heirloom seeds are some of the subjects Milind is especially interested in.
