ThrashHead.com is an online music magazine dedicated to Hardcore Punk Rock and Heavy Metal Music, as well as all their sub-genres.

History

Created in May of 2011,ThrashHead.com's founders, Josh Lent and Rene Trujillo, intended the site to be a source of not only new and upcoming musical acts, but also help push forward a need to have underground and non-mainstream music complimented with substantive content such as articles concerning various socioeconomic and political issues. Later that same year, addressing privacy concerns on various social networking sites, they created InDaPit.com,a social network specifically tailored to enthusiasts of heavy metal and punk rock.

Josh "Mosh" Lent

Editor In Chief/Co-Founder
From Site Biography: As ThrashHead.com's Editor In Chief and Co-Founder, Josh Mosh brings years of experience to the table. As former front man to Denver crust punk legends Clusterfux and other groups such as F.I.A. and Up Yours, he understands the grind, touring and the passion of those who listen and are inspired by punk rock and heavy metal.

Having played with such institutional names as Dirty Rotten Imbeciles , Toxic Narcotic, SMD, Jag Panzer, U.K. Subs, the Subhumans, the Exploited, Phobia, Sanctum, Resistant Culture, Drop Dead, he can ask the questions which need to be answered.

No new comer to the digital age, having written pieces for Culture Geist, Vomit Launch, Queen City Press, Metal Gauge, The Impossible Inside The Nostril Nose Scratch and Profane Existence he has interviewed T.S.O.L., LAMB OF GOD, Gary Holt from Exodus and others. He Listens to everything from old school Judas Priest to The Smiths, with Amebix, Overkill, Misery and Final Conflict thrown in to add spice!

Rene Trujillo

Creative Director/Co-Founder
From Site Biography: ThrashHead.com's Creative Director and Co-Founder, Rene Trujillo has always marched to the beat of different drummer, having been born into a world of art, he has often found solace and deep insight to the human condition in the pounding, emotionally charged rhythms of punk rock and heavy metal.

After having left the United States in his early twenties to seek out a life of high adventure (cue Anvil of Crom), he explored the vast jungles and insanity of Latin America, finally finding his home in the colonial highlands of central Mexico.

He is an an accomplished fine artist, graphic designer, photographer and dabbles in code too. Completely self-taught, he has exhibited his work both nationally and internationally, became a member of the Stuckist movement (founder of the Mexico City Stuckists) and has written the horror novel Do You Believe In Witches?.

Justin "Attucks" Lent

From Site Biography: Justin Attucks Lent has been part of the Colorado underground scene for 20+ years. Playing guitar, drums or bass in such bands as F*CK IT ALL, Up Yours, Clusterfux, Homesick Abortions, Forth Yeer Freashman, Saltwed Wounds, D.I.H.Y.F., SCARCHASM, The Manxx, Dripfed and even L.A. Thrash legends Hirax.
He is also editor of the cut and paste zine ‘Nose Scratch’ as well as helping run the record labels Queen City Punks in the late 90's and Less Art Records over the last decade.

Music has been his passion his whole life starting with trying to learn Kiss Love Gun on his toy sized drum kit at age 9. Now in his late 30's, he still regularly tours with his bands were he is exposed all forms of the heavy.

Justin is one of the founding members of the Denver Pyrate Punx, hoping to bring some unity to his local scene. He can still be found at local warehouse and bar shows supporting the true underground.

Val Landrum

From Site Biography: "Val is a veteran of the Denver punk scene going back to the mid 80's. While living in Durango in the early 90’s, Val delivered a hardcore punk and metal radio show for KDUR, introducing the southwest a lot new noise.

He played guitar in a few local bands starting in the late 90’s and eventually took on six string duties in Denver thrash outfit Valiomierda.

Val's loves records and has been actively working on his collection for years writing to far away places and getting back packages with lots of strange stamps and killer contents.

Currently Val is laying down the four string ground assault in Denver crust mongers Dripfed."
