Stephen Gordon Greenwood (born 21 December 1966) a British entrepreneur and financial engineer in the mergers, acquisitions and consolidation sector.

Greenwood is best known for inventing and pioneering financial concepts including un-funded private equity, deferred finance, retained private equity and the new concept of the management involved buy out.

His un-funded private equity concept was employed in over fifty acquisitions including the acquisition of the distribution division of Continental Tyres AG for £24m, the management buy out of the chemicals group Multisol for £38m and the Babcock PLC disposal of EveTrackway for £8m.

Greenwood is the founder and chief executive officer of the aerospace and defence consolidator called Imeggable Limited, chief executive officer of the defence parts supplier Air Parts Limited and of APL Electronics.

Greenwood is the Non Executive Chairman of The Intellectual Property Company Limited which owns cutting edge copyright and trade mark property relating to new institutional finance products, acquisition methodologies and equity distribution techniques and is the managing partner of the SME company acquisition entity, SG Berkshire Limited.

Born in Alton, Hampshire, Greenwood studied classical music at Leeds University, Essen Verden School of Music in Germany and at The Conservatoire of La Linea in Cadiz. His studies included the compositions of J S Bach and the romantic works of Tarrega, Rodrigo and Albeniz on the Spanish classical guitar.

He mixes his classical concert recitals with his philanthropic values and often performs concerts to raise money for children’s and animal charities. Charity concerts have included the homeless charity controlled by HRH Infanta Dona Pilar de Borbon the King of Spain’s sister, The World Wildlife Fund and Victoria and David Beckham Children’s Charity.
