The Viruses is a non-fiction book series published by Springer Science+Business Media. The series has twenty-nine volumes and was published from 1982 to 1998.[1]

The goal of the series is to "provide a comprehensive review of significant current areas of research in virology. Individual volumes or groups of volumes deal with a single virus family or group and cover all aspects of these viruses ranging from physiochemistry to pathogenicity and ecology.[1]
