Marcos Tinoco is a Brazilian football coach, born in Rio de Janeiro on 1966. Tinoco is involved in football since 12 years old. He graduated in physical education, University Federal of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 1990 and post-graduated in football in 1991-92 (Brazilian Football License A Coaching Course - UFRJ). As a player, Tinoco played in AA Portuguesa Carioca - RJ and UFRJ College Team where he was team captain for 3 years. In 1992 he started his carrier as a football coach. After three seasons in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia and Qatar) and several clubs in Brazil, Marcos was appointed Head Coach and Technical Director of Cayman Islands National Team (2003 - 2007). He moved to Tanzania, Africa in 2007 and led the Under 17 National Team to win the Coca-Cola Under 17 World Cup in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil beating Chile by 1 X 0 at Maracanã Stadium. In 2009 he moved from Tanzania to Trinidad and Tobago where he is coaching the United Petrotrin FC.

His achievements include:

2008 Coca-Cola Under 17 World Cup (in Rio de Janeiro) Champions - Tanzania Under 17 National Team. 

    Final match: Tanzania 1 X 0 Chile - Maracanã Stadium - 11/July/08.

2002 Guanabara Cup Champions - Americano FC - Campos - Brazil. 

    The most traditional regional tournament in Rio de Janeiro.
    Final match: CR Vasco da Gama 1 X 2 Americano FC.
    Romario scored the goal for the Vascainos.

2002 Rio de Janeiro Cup Champions - Americano FC - Campos - Brazil. 

    Final match: Americano FC 1 X 0 Friburguense FC.

2002 Rio de Janeiro Regional Championship Runners-up - Americano FC - Campos - Brazil. 

    Final match: Fluminense FC 1 X 0 Americano FC.

2001 Ceara Regional Championship Champions - Fortaleza EC - Ceara - Brazil. 

    Final match: Fortaleza EC 3 X 1 Ceara EC.
