Marc J. Scott. Better known by his stage name Weird Marc is an American hip hop artist, born in Chicago and raised predominantly in Springfield, Illinois. He is the father of one child, a boy named Marc. In 2006 Scott joined the US Army Field Artillery and was twice deployed to Iraq before returning home to Springfield, Illinois I’m 2010. Legal Issues following his release caused Scott to have a been convicted of several felonies the result of one being a stint in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Upon realease I’m 2015, Scott began to write music something he had done for more than a decade prior. Local Springfield producers Aaron A1 Ball and Shawn Push Freligh are responsible for his very first recordings. It was however the reuniting of Scott with musician and record producer Corey Cochran that cause the release of Scott’s first mixtape entitled “300”. Including the lead single an homage to “Saved by the Bell” entitled “Zach Morris”
