master s.mahadevan the young vocalist and a child prodigy from thiruvananthapuram is a promising artist for future india. Born to sri m,sriram and jayalakshmi sriram the 14 year old mahadevan is learning vocal and veena under the tutelage of his grandmother veena vidushi smt. n.lalitha who herself is a veena and vocal artist who won the president gold medal in a.i.r annual competition for veena in the year 1962. Then he got training from sarvasree kavalam sajeev,now he is undergoing training with the ccrt scholarship for vocal at famous musician gayakaratnam smt parasala b.ponnammal. s.mahadevan is playing veena and is singing from his 5 year age onwards, he has perfiormed in new delhi as the youngest veena artist of south india in a programme organized by veenalaya new delhi. Within a short period he has acquired supreme mastery In rendering classical music which enabled him to win the ragaratnam junior award 2008 at the age of 10 years. The classical contest held by amrita tv thiruvananthapuram and received spontaneous appreciation from the eminent panel of judges which include great musician sri v.dakshinamoorthy swamy,padmabhushan sangeetha kalanidhi Madurai t.n. sheshagopalan, violin maestro kalaimamani kumari a.kanyakumari, mridanga vidwan sri guruvayur dorai and other eminent personalities. Master s.mahadevan has given concerts in major sabhas and organizations all over india in number that comes more than 100. In 2009 mumbai based padam institution organized master s.mahadevan’s grand music recital first time in Mumbai in a full length concert which will include ragam thanam pallavi by a 11 year old boy. Also he had given concert in Mumbai’s prestigious shanmughananda sangeetha sabha. 

In Chennai he has given concerts  in prestigious sabhas which include the famous institution kalakshetra foundation

In 2010 december 31 at Calcutta sri thyagaraja hall he presented a grand carnatic music concert organized by sastha samooham in connection with their diamond jubilee celebrations. His awards include:  Amrita tv ragaratnam junior award 2008  Pogo tv amazing kid singer 2010 title winner For his significant contribution to the music world he has been honoured and given awards by prestigious sabhas and institutions. In academic studies he has scored grade a+ in all subjects.now he is studying in 9th standard at shanthiniketan school thiruvananthapuram
