September 15, 2024 marks the disappearance of my best friend. He did not physically leave; his personality changed drastically for the worst. If My Friend From Summer moved away, please let him know that I would love to talk about the most random of things, play games, and take all the teasing he throws at me. But if My Friend From Summer is dead, I must know so I can acknowledge him as another one I’ve loved and lost. If you wish to end a friendship with someone, tell them. Do not let it all fade to black. You’d be amazed the thoughts, borne of uncertainty, the mind conjures up. And to you, my old friend, I bid a heartbroken adieu.
