rag & bone is the clothing brand headed by design and business partners Marcus Wainright and David Neville. Though both Wainright and Neville were born and raised in the United Kingdom, the brand is Based in New York City. The label started in 2002 as a high-end denim line and quickly expanded in 2004, presenting both Men's and Women's ready-to-wear collections. Drawing on the designers homeland for aesthetic ideas, the clothes reflect vintage British work wear reinterpreted with modern fits and fabrics. These inflences are visible not only in their menswear, but also their women's wear, which is heavily influenced by traditional mens suiting as well as androgyny.

Though the label was selected as a finalist for a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award in 2006 and won a Swarovski award for emerging talent in Menswear Design in 2007, the label recently experienced several great successes in 2010: they won 10th best Women's Ready-to-wear collection on Style.com as well as a CFDA award for Menswear designer of the year.
