Mafia Playlist is the second independently released studio album by South African rapper/cellist, Ershaw The Rabbi, credited as the founder of his own record label, Kayinima Records. The album will be released on April 12, 2020, through Kayinima Records. The album is 13 tracks in length and features, (in order), rapper, El Troope, vocalists, Drew Wntr and Dali Wonga with only 2 producers, Chenoa and Kuuulz. With a special feature from local band, Umbaxanga we Blues. The album has a nice and relaxed lo-fi hip hop mood to it. The album will be published with an eMagazine called, Mafia eMag as it explains the main inspirations of the album written by Ershaw The Rabbi himself.

This project can be explained with one title 'The Sopranos'. Ershaw grew up watching and being obsessed with the principles installed in 'MOB' mentality and old head klevas, (local slang for gangsters) in his hood, including the notorious stories about his late father’s past in crime, with the principles he later learnt in rap music, which include, loyalty at all costs. He took in and grew into these values which inspire the making of this project.Mafia Playlist, basically meaning, music that is best suited for those minds who know that tough times call for tough means of change and with that change comes great responsibility on uplifting a code of honor and ethics. What you should be looking forward to in the music is purely listening to a lyricist/songwriter write his interpretation on the classic way of life. It’s as if your watching a young black male remake the golden sample and live acoustic hip hop era with the likes of Frank Sinatra and Fela Kuti’s ostentatious ideas of a artistic man in its simplest form which are his style, his words and his passionate interpretation of his surroundings.
