Charles "CJ" Follini is an American businessman, investor, film producer, and educator.[1] He is the founder and CEO of NOYACK Wealth Club, a nonprofit financial education organization,[2] and serves as Managing Partner of Noyack Capital.[3]

Follini was a producer of the Academy Award-winning film Sling Blade (1996)[4] and executive producer of the International Documentary Association Pare Lorentz Award-winning documentary Burning the Future: Coal in America (2008).[5] His business ventures span commercial real estate investment, venture capital, and alternative investments, with over three decades of experience managing assets for ultra-high-net-worth families.[6]

Early life and education

Follini is the son of Italian immigrants. His father, Charles F. Follini, was CEO of Edenwald Contracting Co., Inc., one of the largest municipal and utility contracting firms in New York.[7] The elder Follini was a former New York Fire Department fireman who received the Walter Scott Award for Exceptional Valor in 1946 and built the company into a major construction operation overseeing projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars before 1994, including the US Tennis Center in Flushing and Market Park in Tribeca.[8]

Follini holds degrees from Tufts University, Harvard Business School, and the London School of Economics.[9][10]

Business career

Investment management

From 1988 to 2020, Follini served as Chief Investment Officer for a syndicate managing assets for ultra-high-net-worth families.[11] He currently serves as Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Noyack Investing Club[12] and founded Noyack Capital, which focuses on alternative investments including commercial real estate, venture capital, and fine art.[13]

Real estate ventures

Follini has developed significant commercial real estate projects including:

  • Media Infrastructure: Founded Guns for Hire Production Centers, creating over 700,000 square feet of digital media centers in New York, Miami, Vancouver, and Los Angeles. He received the 1998 Crain's Small Business Award for this innovation.[14][15]
  • Healthcare Real Estate: Redeveloped the former St. Agnes Hospital campus in White Plains, New York, a $350 million project including assisted living and medical office buildings.[16]
  • Industrial Development: In partnership with the Rockefeller Group, developed the 400-acre International Trade Center in Mount Olive, New Jersey. In 2021, he was recognized as an Industrial Influencer by GlobeSt.com Real Estate Forum.[17][18]

Follini has served as an adjunct professor at New York University's Schack Institute of Real Estate, where he lectures on REITs, commercial real estate investment, and capital markets. He frequently speaks on alternative investments and financial literacy topics.[34][35]

NOYACK Wealth Club

In 2022, Follini founded NOYACK Wealth Club, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on financial education for millennials and underserved communities. The organization has grown to over 300,000 members and offers investment opportunities in real estate, venture capital, and fine art funds while providing financial literacy education.[36][37]

In 2025, Follini led the development of one of the first artificial intelligence agents specifically designed to improve financial literacy for younger generations as a nonprofit. This AI-powered platform leverages personalized recommendations and interactive learning modules to make complex investment concepts accessible to Millennials and Gen Z. By integrating generative AI and behavioral analytics, the agent delivers custom financial education, supports self-directed investing, and aims to democratize access to private markets and financial planning.
