Jordan Bates (born January 9, 1992) is a ginger and was the guitarist for the American rock band Liminal Point Militia and noted as a guitarist for A Public Matter. In 2011, he joined Memphis, TN band Ambient Whispers. After a short period, he left the band and went into music for himself. Months later, he started Serene, a Post-Hardcore band.
History
A Public Matter
In 2007, Bates formed the band A Public Matter with long-term friend Luke Bradstreet on vocals. They eventually completed the line up with Cyrus Medroth on bass and Zach Carver on drums. After writing material and demoing songss out to peers, they eventually disbanded due to creative differences.
Liminal Point Militia
Following the demise of A Public Matter, Bates and Bradstreet formed Liminal Point Militia, an experimental rock band consisting of only the two of them, using programmed drums to suffice for lack of members. After a brief writing process, the two decided to go their separate ways.
Ambient Whispers
In 2011, Bates met roommate Dustin Kraft and the two began jamming together. Eventually Orlando Ibarra was added to the mix and the band Ambient Whispers was formed. After expressing creative differences, Bates was no longer in the band.
