Zach Walters


Zach Walters (born April 13, 1995) is a American Storm Chasing from Lafayette, Indiana and founder of Zach Walters Extreme Storm Chaser. Some of his work has been featured on major networks like CBS, FOX, CNN and The Weather Channel.

Zach began chasing thunderstorms as a hobby in Spring 2010. However, he would not capture his first tornado until 2011 Joplin Tornado He began his passion for meteorology at an early age when his mother, Sharon, stopped to take photographs of a supercell thunderstorm in rural Western Indiana. After graduating from Seeger Memorial Jr/Sr High School he went on to attend Vincennes University in the pursuit of a Law Enforcement degree. He would later leave college and join the U.S. Army and he currently serves in the Indiana Army National Guard. He is currently in study to receive a Weather Forecasting degree from Penn State University. He is a devoted father and life long college sports fan.

Zach actively chases across the Midwest and much of the Ohio Valley. He is a member of Chase One: Storm Chasing (Joined March 2019) and Extreme Weather Videos (Joined December 2019).
