Jerry Ferrone is an American Lead Guitarist, well known on the East Coast of the US. His career began in the early 1980's with The Faction, who received a steady following of fans. Afterwards, with longtime band mate Alan Grant, he joined Primitive Soul, and released a self titled album, radio interviews, and performed in the New York/New Jersey areas, backing up well known acts such as The Kinks, The Smithereens, Larry Fast (Peter Gabriel) and others. After Primitive Soul, Jerry played with various local bands and shared the stage with Dave Davies of The Kinks, Blondie, 10,000 Maniacs, Rob Paparrozzi, (The Blues Brothers, Blood, Sweat, And Tears, many more) Over time, Jerry wanted to become an instructor, and studied music theory and technique with Glenn Alexander of Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes, and Dave LaRue, bassist of The Dixie Dregs, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Pat Travers, Planet X, L.A.X., Flying Colors, The Steve Morse Band, and Dream Theater. Jerry morphed into Jazz Fusion after learning Theory, and released his own CD, "Jerry Ferrone" featuring Dave LaRue, Glenn Alexander, Joe Ferrara, Rich Genova, and Tom Chase. After the release, Jerry began teaching at local music stores in New Jersey and Florida, and eventually opened his own studio where he currently teaches.He is currently Lead Guitarist for The Cornelius Brothers With Sister Rose, (4 Gold records including "It's Too Late To Turn Back Now" and "Treat Her Like A Lady") and is an on call guitarist for Ladies Of Soul, Johnny And The Blaze, and many others in the Vero Beach/Melbourne area of Florida.
