Welcome to the Jeoly user page. I am slow at things electronic but am getting there, so apologies to those who have been trying to assist my contributions wondering when I will get back to them. For those interested Jeoly was William Dampier's slave and while his New Voyage was in press, Dampier exhibited the heavily tatooed Jeoly to make ends meet. Soon after his work was published to national acclaim Dampier sold Jeoly. He later died in Oxford.
