{{User sandbox} SOFA District Santa Rosa The SOFA district was founded in 2010 after of groups of artists rented studios near A Street Gallery on A Street in the Luther Burbank neighborhood of Santa Rosa, CA . As a result of the organization of an event named "Winterblast" (that included a parade of decorated sofas) , Jennifer Hirshfield and Bob Stender named the neighborhood SOFA ( South Of A Street). Since then a coffee shop, Atlas Coffee, a bakery, Criminal Bakery, a gift store, Jam Jar and a few restaurants came to the neighborhood. One particular restaurant , Spinster Sisters even named a couple dishes after SOFA. The residents of the neighborhood meet to organize many yearly events. The most noteworthy is the aforementioned "Winterblast" that entails an parade of decorated sofas, musicians and dancers, food vendors and lots of art. There are many galleries such as Back Street Gallery, Chroma Gallery and Gallery 300.
