Baked in Brooklyn is an American comedy movie about a college graduate who loses his job and resorts to selling weed in the streets of Manhattan. Directed by Rory Rooney and written by David Shapiro, the film stars Josh Brener, Alexadra Daddario, Tyrone Marshall Brown and Joe Grifasi. The film released on 14th October 2016 in the United States Of America[1] . Produced by Eight Trick Pony and Red Crown Productions in association with Minerva Productions, the film has been distributed by Well Go USA Entertainment. The film has a total run time of 1 hour and 26 minutes.[2]
PLOT
The film ‘Baked In Brooklyn’ is a short film based on the life of a Manhattan Office employee David and the incidents which ensue after he quits his job and starts selling weed over the internet. Starring Josh Brener as David and Alexandra Daddario as Kate, the film opens with David (Brener) reading out to an audience about a book he has written where he describes how over the summer he had a job as a consultant but due to recession he was let go. With two roommates and a girlfriend Kate, who he met at a party, he then comes up with an innovative solution to start selling weed through the internet and succeeds at it, something which he never thought he could do. Soon his clientele expands and he has more customers then he thought was possible. So he works day and night biking through the streets of Brooklyn delivering his weed. As is with any business, there come the risks and problems and the story explores how he manages those along with his relationships. As his online business expands, he starts to get more involved in it losing touch of the things that most important in his life like his girlfriend and his friends. This decline in his attention towards them leads to creating rifts and fights between them. Eventually his girlfriend breaks up with him and he is all alone. Furthermore his supplier then threatens his life and David decides that he has had enough and quits his business to apply for a writer’s job, which was his dream originally. He also goes to win back his girlfriend Kate, who had reunited with her ex-boyfriend. He goes ahead and kisses her in front of him, and bikes away. By the end of the story, he really has managed to turn his life around as he is narrating his story to an audience.

PRODUCTION AND CASTING
The movie is produced by Daniela Taplin Lundberg, Riva Marker, Daniel Crown and Josh Stern and is Co-Produced by Anthony Brandonisio.[3] The Executive Producers are Brian Quattrini, Anne O’Shea, Gary Podell and Rory Rooney who also happens to be the Director the of the film. The casting for the film has been done by Sig De Miguel and Stephen Vincent.[4] The music is by Kenneth Woods and the costume designer is Stacey Berman. The production designer is Brandon Tonner-Connolly with the Director of Photography being Trevor Forrest. The editor for ‘Baked In Brooklyn’ is Erica Freed Marker. The film has been shot in Brooklyn New York City with some scenes being shot on Montrose Avenue in Brooklyn.[5] The entire list of all the soundtracks of the film is given below :

The film has received a review of 5.4/10 through IMDb[7] whose scores are given as an aggregation of all of its users who have given ratings to the movie through the website. A similar review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes[8] gave it a rating of 36% rotten tomatoes which mean that on a scale of 0 to 100 the overall rating of the picture is 36% based on user reviews. Other independent film critique websites like Irish film critic have said that the movie “Goes up in smoke” and that “The movie plays out like the old cliched love story”.[9]
