I am creating this user page because I am interested in being more involved in editing and contributing to Wikipedia. I have a doctoral degree in biology, and have worked for many years in biomedical research, including cell biology, genetics, biophysics, etc. I also am avidly interested in many topics in psychology, sociology, history, ecology, and engineering.

I am a native English-speaker, born and raised in the USA.

As for a personal wikiphilosophy, probably my most notable relevant feature is that my scientific training and personality drive me care deeply about precise communication and avoiding ambiguity. I hope to apply this to improving Wikipedia.
