Michael JunSung Yi was born on April 22, 1988, to Kwan H. Yi and Hea Jung Yi. His siblings are Eric Jehsung Yi (October 11, 1985) and Daniel Hosung Yi (June 21, 1990)

His childhood was fairly uneventful except for some long road trips with the family and the occasional battle with brothers.

He attended Bethlehem Baptist Christian Academy from 1992 to 2003, ending his freshman year of highschool there. The following year, B.B.C.A. was renamed, Fair Oaks Academy. Michael went on to attend Fairfax High School for one year of his high school career. There he met a group called the [gK] and they were everywhere. A few members of [gK] are, D.C. Choi, Timothy Kim, Kenneth Kim, Kyung Jae Lee, Hoon Jae Lee, and some others that could not be recalled. Michael then attends Trinity Christian School until 2006 and graduates there. He is ranked in the top 28 members in the class, academically and in coolness.

After graduating with his class of 28 seniors, he entered Virginia Tech and is currently attending Virginia Tech.

Michael has attended church for over 18 years. His mother, Hea Jung Yi took him to church while she was pregnant with him. He has been attending Korean Central Presbyterian Church (Vienna, VA) for a very long time.

There he has formed an alliance also know as RTC.

RTC consists of 5 members, modeled after the Ginyu Force (the strongest force in the universe).
