Wikipedia's next milestone [refresh]

  • Wikipedia now has 7,190,961 articles and lacks 809,039 articles to reach 8,000,000
  • Since 5 April 2009, we have produced 696 articles per day (29 articles per hour)
  • By maintaining this rate, we need 1,162 days to reach 8,000,000
  • And by doing so, we will pass 8,000,000 articles on 10 August 2029

Scripts

Like in the example seen above, these scripts respectively add a link located at the left of your user name which goes to the latest Help desk post and a tab linked to Category:Wikipedians looking for help which counts the users in the category. (Contrary to the script, the example is static and does not reflect the current status.)

These scripts are based on no:MediaWiki:Gadget-HurtigSlett.js made by no:Bruker:Laaknor.
This script converts the output of Special:Allpages and Special:Prefixindex into one column when the user clicks the "1 column" tab.
Adds toolbox links to Prefixindex and Allpages based on the current page title. Useful for browsing Wikipedia in a "new" way. For example, click the regular "Random article" link in the sidebar, and then click the "All pages" link in the toolbox.
