Harold “Hdub” Whaley begin his career in the entertainment industry in 1985. After joining the US Navy in ’82, he was introduced to the music industry in the Philadelphia area. Working with greats like Jean Carne, Patti Labelle, Al Green, GQ, Heat wave, and Denise Williams as a background vocalist. After serving 11 years in the military, Harold retired early from the Navy to pursue his passion of music. He was soon signed as a producer/artist with So Cal independent record label Deemo Records.
He was embraced by the city with the awarding of the San Diego Music Award in 1999. Deemo Records would eventually become a subsidiary label under Solar/Hines/Epic out of Los Angeles. The infamous Death Row records crossed his path when Harold joined a team of producers who worked on the Platinum CD “Murder was the Case”. A BET.Com online poll nominated Harold as “Breakaway Artist of the Millennium in 2000. Learning to market and sell his own music and products was a goal that Harold saw as achievable via the Internet and mobile markets. On the journey to becoming an Internet marketing genius as some have labeled him, he set out to master online design, online marketing and mobile technology. Eventually designing award-winning websites for Gospel Superstar CeCe Winans and Motivational Speaker “Les Brown”. In 2002 Television Show “Tee’d off”, was the first nationally syndicated project he produced. Late 2002 saw him received the position of Program Director for the Urban Network Magazine’s two Online Radio Stations. The first Nationally distributed magazine with an online radio station. 2005 brought in the Mobile Marketing Era. Starting a company called “Spirit Text”. Spirit Text provides spiritual text messages daily to your mobile phone. Now being used by spiritual organizations throughout the world. Harold is now one of the foremost authorities on entertainment mobile marketing. Creating virtual businesses and showing entrepreneurs how to build a business, that can be both entertaining and financially rewarding. Harold helps individuals showcase their works and skills in the virtual world. Creating everything from Convention Centers to Night Clubs in a virtual environment will be the future of the Internet. As the COO of the Metaverse Company “Monogram Virtua”, he understands with that with energy cost rising, more and more individuals are learning to embrace the Internet and Digital environment for answers. Learning to embrace technology is an ever-important facet, and this modern day digital conceptualist is the poster child for it.
