About me

I am an amateur wikipedian with an interest in Canadian Indigenous History, focusing on the Treaty system which established and maintains the current legal interactions between settler and Indigenous communities in Canada, having studied treaties for both of my degrees. I also enjoy the less glamorous tasks of adding various links and sources to existing articles on any subject I am familiar enough with to do so, and while a little less impressive than writing a features article, I find it a fun way to take part in the wider Wikpedia project.I am also taking part in a PhD course and plan on incorporating research from this project into relevant articles.

My current large project is an article on The Rice Lake treaty, aka Treaty 20. This is an important treaty for Canadian Indigenous relations, and current searches misdirect to The Numbered Treaties, a series of unrelated treaties made nearly a century later than Rice Lake
