I, Heybai, am a U.S. citizen who has lived in the Far East since 1983, including the past 20 years in Taiwan (as of 13 August 2007).

I am a historian and a teacher. I love baseball. I am especially fond of Chien-Ming Wang -- the correct Romanization and form of name, using the Wade-Giles schema and the Chinese name pattern (surname, given name) ought to be Wang Chien-min -- our "hometown" hero, whose career I have followed from the minor leagues.
