IMPORTANT SERVICE NOTE
As of March 2015, I am more or less retired from Wikipedia editing, for a pretty ultimate reason: I have metastatic cancer of unknown primary origin (CUP), which is not curable, and after a very decent remission - way better than average for CUP - the problems are finally starting to pile up, and the treatment options to run out. This isn't to say that I might not be back from time to time if I feel I have anything significant to add. But at the moment, I'm not wasting too much time sitting at a computer while I'm still mobile (in fact, apart from having the condition, I'm generally pretty well), and I've a number of travel / topographical projects of my own to work on, without the hassle of having my work revised every night by some wall-eyed Mr Logic re-including his theory about Atlantis. Anyhow, I'd like to thank the many correspondents and contacts who have collaborated productively with me in the past (and to curse the minority of insane obsessives who have detracted from the Wikipedia experience). If I don't respond to messages or participation requests, I apologise sincerely; it's nothing personal. Either I'm very busy with other concerns and not logging on, or ... well, you know the rest.
