A self-described "rebel with a pen", Gonzalez creates brilliant, mind-blowing art on the cutting edge of extreme sports. A championship surfer, freethinker and fashionista, Roy has fused satirical commentary into a world where music, waves and politics collide.

Moving from the underground to mainstream, his ‘Signature Series Roy Gonzales’ for Fuel TV (the only television network covering the lifestyle and culture of action sports, now seen in 26 million homes) recently won the 2008 Gold BDA award in the Consumer Image Publication Advertising category.

From renowned surf comics to professional event posters including the Op Pro and prestigious Pipeline Backdoor Shootout, Gonzalez’s work has long been the standard by which new generations surf artists are measured.
