Rolling Stones Barcelona Concert 2017
In what could have been their last concert in Spain, the Rolling Stones had a great performance on September 27th, 2017, at the Estadi Olimpic in Barcelona. People bought the tickets thinking it might be their last concert. At 17:30h the doors opened for the people to enter but, there was plethora of people waiting outside the stadium hours before the doors opened. People from all around Europe were waiting to see one of the most well known group in the Rock`n Roll history. To be able to enter the stadium a person had to go through 3 different security checks. Other rules of the stadium were the prohibition of backpacks or glass bottles, due to the possible damage they can cause if thrown. At 19:30h the valencian warm up group “Los Zigarros” started performing. At 21:00 “Highway to hell” from AC/DC started playing on the speakers and when it finished people started to get loud, finally The Rolling Stones showed up in the stage.[1]
According to one source; “The expectations were high and the spectators, coming from many kilometers round to the only concert in Spain of the tour 'Stones-No Filter.'”[2]This concert caused a huge movement, since people around the world travelled to Barcelona to see them. Airplanes, trains, AVE, bus, taxi, all of these were means of transport to get to Barcelona. Depending of where people are from, they used different kind of transport. International people from all Europe arrived in plains; the day before and the day of the concert many international flights from all Europe were arriving at El Prat-Barcelona Airport. The concert also moved many masses nationally making people from all around Spain use Ave in order to make it to the Rolling Stones concert in Barcelona. The concert was at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, situated in the Parc De Montjuic, passeig Olímpic, 15-17, 08038, Barcelona. It is located inside the city, which makes it a really good location in order to be able to visit the city before the concert started. The stadium is known to be the sixth largest stadium in in Spain with a capacity of 55,926, and gives home to the Catalans Dragons. The architect of the stadium is Pere Domenech i Roura who opened himself the stadium in the year 1929.
“Los Zigarros” is a Rock`n Roll band that has currently released two albums since 2011, when the group was finally formed and public, guided by Carlos Raya, their producer. The group is formed by four members: Ovidi Tormo (vocalist, guitarist), Álvaro Tormo (guitarist), Adrián Ribes (drummer) and Nacho Tamarit (bass guitarist). (Los Zigarros, 1-20)[3]

The songs given at the concert were: Sympathy for the Devil, It’s only rock and roll, Tumbling, Dice, Just your Fool, Ride ‘em on down, Under my Thumb, Rocks Off, Can’t Always Get, Paint It Black, Honky Tonk Woman, Happy, Slipping, Away, Miss You, Midnight Rumbler, Street Fighting, Man, Start Me Up, Brown Sugar, JJ Flash, Gimme Sheltter, Satisfaction.[4]
