Knowledge is used to further humanity and at the same time holds people in place to a certain social order to maintain adherence to goals for the greater good

exploration of the universe requires humanity to colonize other planets

eternal life for humans would be boring

people continue with life on earth because death is the alternative, doesn't create an inherent meaning to the life of humans upon earth

the libido / need for reproduction overcomes reason, and replaces reason with a wholly primitive motivation which is organisational at the foundation of society for continuation of the species on earth

religion is used to placate people

death is for eternity (no evidence exists otherwise which is provable)

death seems to be an oblivion or annihilation

an afterlife is inconceivable because there is nothing to do practically, nothing to do to occupy oneself there for the multitude of years which an eternal life contains

if an afterlife exists, and life on earth has a maximum, what then is the purpose to life on earth considering the number who have died and the number whose presence after death is non-noticable upon earth

fear is used by governments via creation of conflict and so an enemy to control populations, and by threat of punishment for crimes when economic restrictions made necessary by the continuation of the wealthy creates the crime to begin with

death makes the rich and wealthy retain wealth because life has no meaning
