Fazlul is working at a local conglomerate as an Investment Advisor/ Buy-Side Analyst in its Investment and Future Business Department. Prior to, he had been working for about 3 years in the consulting industry as a Sell-Side Analyst to advise private and development sector clients for taking proper investment/intervention decisions by quantitative and qualitative analysis on the market, customers, and industry growth road-map.

In this journey, he was directly involved in the in-depth investment analysis of ~BDT 1 billion to 40 billion worthies of several infrastructural projects contemplated for PPP projects, joint ventures, acquisition, new business concerns, etc. to enhance the market capitalization of the conglomerate, Confidence Group.

• 660MW gas-based power plant in Mirsarai EZ
• Geotextile manufacturer (~80 tons of textiles/day with ~500 ppl employment)
• ATC acquired 51% of KTBL with the plan to have ~12,000 mobile towers

Fazlul is a certified financial modeling and valuation, FMVA® analyst issued by Corporate Finance Institute. He passed CFA Level 1 (2016); completed MBA program in Finance (2018) and BBA, double-major in Finance & Accounting and Marketing (2016) from North South University.

With such wide spectrum of academic exposure with deeply rooted business modeling insights, he has been an instrumental team member in consulting with The Governance and Justice Group, Oxfam, USAID, Sesame Workshop, GIZ Bangladesh, UKAID, BBS, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs of Bangladesh and several private sector conglomerates. He started his career as a Research Analyst under the supervision of a team comprised of UNDP Consultants; UK Barristers; Scotland Retired Police-Officers; Academicians from different International Universities in a multinational project; named “Justice Audit Bangladesh”, to audit the justice system of Bangladesh. He then switched to a local leading boutique consulting firm to conduct investment research where he assisted several private-sector and development-sector clients.

Fazlul constantly trains himself as an Investment Analyst for equity and risk analysis, modeling and forecasting, business analytics for potential investment. He loves to study economics and behavioral science on the investors and the financial market. Fazlul is always alert about new technology emerging in the fin-tech industry.
